Bangkok, Thailand – October 14, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Siam Legal International, a Thailand-based law firm and an authorized General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA) for the Thailand Privilege program, has identified airport limousine transfers as the most common way members redeem their annual Privilege Points. The finding draws on the firm’s work with thousands of clients, where questions about how to use Privilege Points come up repeatedly.
Privilege Points are awarded each year based on membership tier under the Thailand Privilege program, formerly known as the Thailand Elite Visa. Members can exchange them for a range of travel and lifestyle benefits through the program’s partner network. With Thailand’s visa rules changing regularly, the firm has found that many members are unclear about which benefits their points can actually be used for.
Siam Legal’s visa team, which works with Thailand Privilege applicants and members across the firm’s offices, reports that limousine transfers to and from the airport are by far the most popular redemption, particularly among members who travel frequently. Golf rounds and spa treatments are also common choices. Points can also be exchanged for stays at a range of partner hotels across Thailand.
Privilege Points also cover a practical administrative task that many foreign residents find difficult to manage alone. Members can redeem points for assistance with obtaining a Thai driver’s license, with an Elite Personal Liaison pre-checking documents and guiding the member through the process before the visit to the transport office. The service is designed to reduce the paperwork burden that typically accompanies a license application.
Among the less widely known benefits, the firm points to annual health checkups at partner hospitals. Thailand’s reputation for high-quality medical care makes this redemption particularly relevant for retirees who want to build preventive care into their routine while living in the country. Points can also be used for selected dental and wellness services available through the program’s partner network.
The firm also highlights a rule that members frequently overlook. Unused Privilege Points do not carry over into the following membership year, which means any balance remaining at the end of the year is lost. Siam Legal recommends that members check their remaining balance ahead of the reset and identify which available benefits still fit their plans, rather than allowing points to expire.
“Most members treat Privilege Points as a travel perk, and the airport transfer is usually where they start,” said Rex Baay, Senior Immigration Consultant and Operations Manager at Siam Legal International. “The members who get the most value are the ones who review the full list of benefits early in the membership year, particularly the health and administrative services, rather than discovering in the final weeks that their points are about to reset.”
The redemption patterns were discussed in a recent episode of Siam Legal’s Ask Rex series, in which the firm’s visa team answers recurring client questions about the Thailand Privilege program. The series draws on questions raised during consultations with prospective and existing members, and covers real-world scenarios that applicants and members encounter.
As an authorized GSSA, Siam Legal assists foreign nationals with the Thailand Privilege program at no additional cost beyond the official membership fee. The firm previously documented growing interest among executives and globally mobile professionals in Siam Legal’s Thailand Privilege report, as more applicants seek structured long-term residency in Thailand.
